WE CAN MAKE IT! WHAT CARPENTERS DO

No, we don’t mean the singing band “The Carpenters!”
Carpenters (the skilled trade) are the reason we have beds to lie down on, cabinets to put our clothes on, chairs to sit down on, and floors to stand on! They’re the reason our ships stay afloat, our buildings don’t fall, and our roofs stay on top of our heads! With so many everyday life necessities covered by these great skilled workers, we turn to our questions and find out, just what do they really do?

DUTY OF A CARPENTER
Carpenters ensure that a client gets what they want. If the client desires a structure or objects to be so, they will create the necessary framework to get the right output. They also provide support and supervision to laborers and work for hand in hand to achieve quality. If something needs repairing, they also come in – replacing any defect, changing any unwanted detail. They also are hired to spot any potential damages or mistakes in already finished products! Carpenters are adept and have multiple roles!Carpentry

TOOLS OF THE TRADE
Hand tools include Levels, T-Squares, chisels, hammers, saws, tape measures and rulers.
Power tools include Mechanical saws, nail guns, Drills, and welding machines.
Essential materials include Nuts, screws, bolts, nails, staples, and adhesives.
Carpenters usually rely on their own personal set of tools rather than others and bring a nifty toolbox with them whenever they work.

ALL THE RIGHT TYPES
There are different types of carpenters for everything! From simple furniture design to large-scale construction, carpenters provide us with a variety of skills that amaze us with excellent hand-eye coordination, precise technique, and strong but steady workmanship! Never take one for granted! Some types of carpenters have expertise on specific jobs, like a ship carpenter who is a master at boats, or even a reconstruction or revival carpenter (one who brings back to life old buildings or artifacts!)
